Watching an episode of Oprah all about feral children was difficult. I felt really bad for the children raised in these situations and also the way they turned out. Also watching this made me very angry at the parents that could have done this to their own children. Such people should be eliminated from this world for being so stupid. The mom in the episode of Oprah blamed everything on her situation and didn't take any blame for being so irresponsible. In the end the child effected by such neglect was adopted by a loving family. Oprah is trying to teach everyone that love and attention is really important for young children to develop properly. But sociologist see this as, in order to become human, everyone must be in touch with society.
Though I have never had anything to do with feral children or adoption. All of this talk of babies growing up and need to be touched, talked, and loved made me think of my little sister growing up over the last couple years. She's six years old now, but I remember babysitting her from when she was only six months old. Something thats really interesting was my grandmother came to visit from Belarus and be with my little sister for a few months. As my sister grew up, and my grandmother flew back to Belarus, you could see my little sister doing things my grandmother would do. For example, my grandmother loved keeping things in plastic bags. Now my sister loves putting her toys in bags, backpacks. Also she knows where she put everything, while we see it as extremely messy and unorganized.
